We are a niche childcare centre with an intentionally small student roll, allowing us to maintain a higher teacher-to-child ratio than most schools in Samui. This means more attention, more meaningful interaction, and more personalised learning for every child.

Our Story
Banana Leaf Samui International Private Childcare was created from a genuine passion for supporting families and giving children the best possible start in life. We recognised the need for a childcare centre that blends high-quality early education with a warm, family-focused approach.
From the beginning, our goal has been to create a space where children feel safe, supported, and truly at home. A place where they can laugh, play, learn, and grow every day.
Today, we are a trusted community that families return to, recommend, and feel proud to be part of.

About The Owner
Hello! I’m Baitong the proud owner of Banana Leaf Samui International Childcare, here in beautiful Koh Samui.
Caring for children has been a natural part of my life from the very beginning. I was born in 1996 in Buriram, Thailand, where I grew up on my family’s lively farm filled with corn, chilli, cassava, beans, sweet potatoes, and dairy cows. I was raised surrounded by love, warmth, and nature, and my wonderful grandparents cared for me deeply and guided me with kindness. Their values, support, and wisdom helped shape the person I am today. Life on the farm also taught me responsibility, patience, and the joy of watching things grow, values that now guide the way I care for children.
With a Thai mother and an Australian stepfather, I’ve always embraced a blend of cultures, which inspires the warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment I create for families. I’m also the proud sibling of one sister and three brothers, so being around children has always felt natural to me.
I followed my passion for language and learning by earning my BA in English from Suansunandha Rajabhat University in 2018. Shortly after graduating, I began working as a private nanny, tutor, and teacher in Thai and international schools, a role I truly loved and continued for more than six years. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of early childhood development and the unique needs of little learners.
In 2025, I took the next step and opened Banana Leaf Samui International Private Childcare, a warm and nurturing early learning environment designed especially for children aged 1.6 to 5 years. My goal is to give every child the same patience, encouragement, and genuine care that shaped my own upbringing, while providing a safe and engaging space for exploration, creativity, and growth.
