Each day at Banana Leaf Samui International Private Childcare is thoughtfully structured to create a sense of safety, stability, and enjoyment.

Daily Care & Safety Practices
At Banana Leaf Samui International Private Childcare, your child’s safety, health, and wellbeing are our highest priority. We follow consistent daily practices to ensure every child feels protected, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the day.
Sun Safety
Koh Samui’s sunshine is beautiful but strong, so we take sun safety seriously. Children are protected with sunscreen, hats provided by families, shaded play areas, and outdoor activities planned during safe sun hours, with regular breaks to rest and cool down.
Insect & Bug Protection
Living in a tropical environment means being mindful of insects at all times. We use parent-approved insect repellent, maintain clean and inspected outdoor areas, and follow child-safe pest prevention practices to help keep children comfortable and protected.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Good hygiene is part of our daily routine. Children practise regular handwashing throughout the day, toys and learning spaces are cleaned and sanitised, bedding is refreshed regularly, and safe food-handling practices are followed at all times.
Health & Illness Policy
To support the health of all children and educators, children who are unwell are required to stay home. If a child becomes sick during the day, families are contacted promptly, and medication is only administered with written parental consent.
Pickup & Authorised Collection
Your child’s safety during collection is very important to us. Children are only released to parents or approved guardians, and any alternative arrangements must be communicated in advance to ensure every child leaves safely with the right person.
Safe Indoor & Outdoor Play
All indoor and outdoor play areas are designed with safety in mind. We provide age-appropriate equipment, shaded areas, soft play surfaces, secure fencing, and continuous supervision so children can explore and play with confidence.
Emergency Preparedness
Our team is trained and prepared to respond to emergencies. Educators are qualified in First Aid and CPR, emergency procedures are clearly in place, drills are practised regularly, and first aid equipment is always accessible.
Open Communication With Families
We believe safety includes clear and open communication. Families are informed promptly of any incidents, and we encourage parents to share important health information, allergies, or concerns so we can best support each child.
Anti-Bullying & Violence
At Banana Leaf Samui International Private Child Care, we are committed to creating a safe, kind, and respectful environment for every child. Bullying in any form, including emotional, physical, verbal, psychological, racist, sexual, or cyber bullying is not tolerated.
Physical violence such as fighting, hitting, pushing, punching, or any form of physical discipline is strictly prohibited. These rules apply to everyone within our childcare community, including staff, parents, visitors, and children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
Social Media & Privacy
At Banana Leaf Samui International Private Child Care, we prioritise children’s privacy and safety. We obtain explicit written parental consent before using any photos or videos of children online, with clear options for families to opt out. Staff are not permitted to share confidential information or post images of children on their personal social media accounts. We also ask parents to respect the privacy of all children when sharing photos taken at Banana Leaf Childcare.
